Thailand SME Scale Up Program for Plastics Circularity was organized to promote and support Thai SMEs in the business of plastic waste management, collection, sorting and plastic recycling and upcycling. The program encouraged SMEs to solve the plastic waste problem at the industrial level by analyzing their business plans and transforming their business processes to be comprehensive and sustainable. The program was divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 of the program has been operated from March to April 2022.
โครงการ Thailand SME Scale Up Program for Plastics Circularity จัดขึ้นโดยมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนผู้ประกอบการ SME ไทยในกลุ่มธุรกิจการบริหารจัดการขยะพลาสติก การจัดเก็บ คัดแยก และพลาสติกรีไซเคิล รวมถึงธุรกิจการนำพลาสติกกลับมา แปรรูปเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์อื่น ๆ (Upcycled) โดยผลักดันให้สร้างผลลัพธ์ในการแก้ปัญหาขยะพลาสติกในระดับอุตสาหกรรมผ่านการวิเคราะห์ ปรับเปลี่ยนแผนธุรกิจให้ครอบคลุมและยั่งยืน โครงการนี้แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ระยะ โดยระยะที่ 1 ได้เริ่มดำเนินการตั้งแต่เดือนมีนาคม – เดือนเมษายน 2565
Online Workshop for Plastic Waste Business
The activity is conducted online through the Zoom Meetings application from 2nd March – 25th March 2022, with speakers from leading organizations to educate selected SMEs on 4 topics; (1) Plastic circularity business models for growth and sustainability, (2) How SMEs can access to funding of a circular economy for plastics, (3) How to prepare a pitch deck and present to investors and (4) Economic trends and development plans for sustainability over the next decade.
Online Pitching
The activity is conducted online through the Zoom Meetings system to allow program participants to present business ideas, access lead funding sources and create partner networks. The pitching is also one of the criteria to select businesses to participate in Phase 2 with the benefits such as custom growth plans and support from The Incubation Networks and strategic partnerships. This activity took place on the 5th, 7th, and 8th of April 2022, with a total of 18 participating businesses.
